SDI Announces the Successful Completion of the First Round of Live Safety Testing of the Lektrox Wireless Electric Bullet
TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 09/24/07 -- Security Devices International, Inc. (OTCBB: SDEV) - a defense technology company specializing in the creation of less than lethal ammunition solutions - announced today that it successfully completed the first round of live safety testing at an advanced clinical facility for its new patent-pending Lektrox ammunition during the summer of 2007.
The highly comprehensive testing, implemented over a 24 hour period, was designed to study the immediate and medium term physiological effects of the high voltage incapacitation aspects of SDI's Lektrox wireless electro-muscular disruption technology.
Carried out under the most stringent, objective conditions, the test parameters covered a comprehensive range of physiological responses such as cardiac arrhythmia, hematological changes, thermoregulation and oxygenation abnormalities and others.
Results in all test parameters proved the Lektrox to be safe across all the normal ranges of high voltage incapacitation aspects allowed for under the title of less than lethal ammunition - ammunition that does not cause any form of long-term or irreversible physical damage.
